In memory of
Daniel J. Boucher, 76, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on January 3, 2021. He was born July 24, 1944 to the late Joseph Boucher and Helen (Tyszka) Boucher Malinowski. Dan proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was extremely dedicated to his career as Traffic Manager at A-C Motor Express in West Springfield, MA where he worked for 50 years. Dan was highly regarded by his customers and coworkers and was known for his reliability and attention to detail. Dan always kept up with local & worldwide current affairs. He greatly enjoyed espionage novels, attending shows on Broadway and the Majestic Theater in W Springfield, and his many outings with his cousin Tina. Dan also loved cars and their technology. He enjoyed reading his car magazines and annually attending the NYC Auto Show. He contributed to an array of charitable causes faithfully. Dan leaves his cousin Doris Parentela of Southwick, cousin Dorothy Cauthen of CA, cousin and caregiver Tina Stevens of Westfield, Tina’s son Derek Stevens, who Dan considered to be like a son, and Derek’s son Daniel. He also leaves nephews James Boucher & wife Tina of Palmer, MA, Joseph Boucher & his girlfriend Elizabeth of Bristol, CT, Kyle Boucher & wife Chelaine of West Springfield, MA, and many extended family members. Besides his parents, Dan was predeceased by his brother Joseph and sister Joan Boucher. Special thanks to Dan’s caring friend and neighbor Johann Taylor of Westfield, MA. Dan will be missed by his many relatives, friends, coworkers and business associates. A private service will be held. Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Dan’s name may be made to Baystate Children’s Hospital, 280 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA 01199.
