Patricia Lynn Surat, 56 Devoted partner, sister, and friend Patricia Lynn Surat, 56, passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 9, 2021, with her loved ones by her side. She was a warm, caring, and generous woman who was loved by all who knew her. Patti was born on 11/17/1964 to Joseph E. Surat and Gloria "Pat" Surat and raised on Staten Island. She also resided in Virginia and West Virginia before returning to Staten Island in 2001. Patti had a love for life with a passion for nature, hiking, camping and baking. More recently she travelled extensively within the United States and throughout Europe with her loving companion, Robert Kanowicz. She is survived by her beloved partner of 17 years, Robert; two brothers, Daniel Surat (Celeste), John Surat; and three sisters, Margaret "Peg" Mangiero (Frank), Elizabeth Freeman (Jessie) and Annette Brush (Kieran) along with many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Joe and Gloria "Pat" Surat and brother Joseph F. Surat. Visitation will be held at Harmon Funeral Home, West Brighton on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass is 10:30 am Wednesday at Holy Family Church, Westerleigh, with burial immediately to follow at St.Peters Cemetery, West New Brighton.
