Burton Burnett Hendricks, 97, of Hershey, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021, peacefully at home. Born in Traverse City, MI on February 10, 1923, he was the son of the late Henning V. and Jennie Burnett Hendricks Burton was a graduate of the University of Michigan in Engineering (1948) and in Law (1951). During World War II, he served in Italy and was honorably discharged. After graduating from law school, he spent 36 years with AMP. Burton was a member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Derry Township. Burton is survived by his daughter Lea (Glen) Carswell, of Ottawa, Canada; three grandchildren, Douglas Burton Carswell, Emily (Mark) Francis, and Vanessa (Kevin) Bailey; one great grandchild, Odin Burton Francis; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Burton was preceded in death by his wife Dawn Hendricks; his son and daughter-in-law, Charles Michael and June Hendricks; and his siblings, Phyllis Gosling, Charles Hendricks, Edna Shoner, and Dwight Hendricks. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 W. Main Street, Hummelstown, is handling the services. The family wishes to have memorial contributions made to Hospice of Central PA, 1370 Linglestown Road, Harrisburg, PA 17110, or to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 850 Hill Church Road, Hummelstown, PA 17036.
