JAN 9, 2021 Maurice, an only child, was born May 3, 1934 to Isaac Motola and Sultana Pessah. A graduate of Taft High School in the Bronx, Maurice married the former Shirley Padva in 1955. A native Ladino speaker, Mr. Motola enjoyed a long career as an estimator for the plumbing and heating industry, retiring from Almar Plumbing. An arts aficionado he had a special passion for opera and regularly worked every crossword puzzle in several newspapers daily. A loving and devoted family man he is mourned by his wife, son David (Mindy), daughter Lori Hoffman (Ephraim), grandchildren Jared (Jamie), Michelle Attar (Marc), and Nis Frome (Hannah), and great-grandchildren Ivy, Levi, Lacey & Eden Attar, Lily & Ryder Motola. The family thanks the Rockleigh Jewish Home, Rockleigh, NJ for their care in the last years of his life and is profoundly grateful to his aid Marcel Ostrow.
