Edward Darrell HAAKINSON
Passed away peacefully on January 4, 2021 after losing a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born to Skip and Shirley Haakinson on Sept. 10, 1940. Ed attended Monroe High School and then joined the Navy. He was a long-time employee at Paper-Calmenson. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Lou Larson. He is survived by wife Carol, daughter Barb Haakinson Johnson and 3 grandchildren. Also survived by 3 sisters: Shirley Gerlach, Marge (Dave) Galles, Kathleen Reese (William Stromberg) and 3 brothers: Donald (Fay), Daniel (Bonnie) and Mark, and a brother-in-law George Larson. Also many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly missed by all. A private service will be held at a later date. The family is very grateful to the staff at the Burnett Medical Center for their wonderful care of Ed!
