In memory of
Karen Irene Jones
Karen Irene Jones Visalia - Words can't begin to describe the love, strength, and impact Karen had on every life she touched. Once you met her, your life was never the same... it was blessed infinitely. She is survived by her husband Richard, her son Steve Ferris, her daughters Lisa Thomas and Julie Jones. She is survived by all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her kindness and generosity is legendary. She always thought of others before herself. Many of us remember getting nurturing phone calls from Karen. "I was just thinking about you," she would start. Those phone calls were precious. She is proudly one of the founding members of Parenting Network-Family Resource Center to help, and support families of children with Special Needs. As a member of the Elbow Creek Hall for 18 years, she tirelessly served on many committees, including the Youth Committee, the Goodwill Committee, Women's Activities and Convention Committees. She was also responsible for the Annual Christmas Celebration for the kids of Elbow Creek School and community members, as well as the College Scholarships. If you needed help, she always volunteered. If you needed anything, she knew where to find it and made sure you had it! She loved the Elk's Vagabonds and all the new friends she made on trips with Richard and their many friends. She will forever be remembered for her love, honestly, kindness, generosity, wisdom, and her opinion whether you wanted it or not. At the same time, she will always be admired for her strength and convictions. She knew right from wrong. She had no tolerance for people who sought to harm others. She became their champions. You were indeed blessed to call her your spouse, mother, grandma, great-grandma, mentor, and friend. You would want her in your corner in tough times, and by your side in good times. She is the strongest person I will ever have the pleasure of knowing and having in my life. She will be missed beyond heaven and earth. Until we meet again. We love you Mamma.
