Katie Thomas Whitener Butler, affectionately known as "Dear "or "Mrs. Katie" passed away peacefully on Monday, January 4, 2021 at the age of 94. Visiting at True Light Baptist Church, 3836 North St. BR, La. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 10:00 am until religious services at 12:00 pm, conducted by Reverend Dennis R. Hebert. Interment at Roselawn Memorial Park. Katie is survived by one daughter, three sons, fourteen grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, one sister, one god-daughter and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and Gus Young neighborhood family and friends.
