Linda B. Powell was a retired nurse, a member of Manchac Baptist Church, and a resident of Springfield. She was born December 6, 1936, to the late Alton and Margaret Key Biggs and passed away January 4, 2021, in Baton Rouge, LA. She was 84 years old. Linda is survived by her husband, Gerald C. Powell; children, H. Wayne Sharp, Sharon Sharp Lobo and Kevin W. Sharp; step children, Jerry C. Powell, Quida Darlene Powell, Joseph C. Powell, and Gerald C. Powell; 11 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, H.W. Sharp; and a brother, Bo Biggs. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 12 noon at Davidson Cemetery, Clio, LA conducted by Rev. Brian Martin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Manchac Baptist Church, 30374 Old Hwy. 51, Akers, LA 70421. Face masks are now mandatory to attend any or service.
