Leocario "Leo" Gonzales
Leocario J Gonzales "Leo" 82 , passed away in Durango, Co. at Four Corners Health Care Center on December 15, 2020. Leo was born on September 12, 1938 to Gregorio and Rosario Gonzales in Bernal, New Mexico. Leo was raised in Bernal and attended school in Las Vegas, New Mexico. After working 25yrs with the City of Albuquerque, Leo retired and moved to Durango with his family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing his accordion, and being with his family, and there was never time you didn't see him at the casino winning BIG. Survived by his loving wife of 40 years Lillian "Lee" Gonzales, children: Bernadette Rodriguez, Clifford Gonzales (Lisa), Greg Gonzales, Danny Herrera (Lisa), Steve Gonzales, and Jamie Gonzales (Bobby), his sisters Leah Tompkins and Christine Gutierrez (Steve), brothers Frank Sandoval (Belinda) and David Sandoval (Sheila). Numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Leo was known as Tata Bear by loved ones. Services will be held at a later date.
