In memory of
Richard B. Rumble
Richard "Dickie" B. Rumble, 78, formerly of Weymouth, passed away on December 15th, 2020. Dick was the son of Frederick Rumble, retired Captain of the Weymouth Police Dept. and Sylvia Page Rumble; loving husband and partner in many adventures to Kathleen Colligan; father to Rick Rumble (Mary-Beth) of Rochester, NY and daughter Ellie Gelder (Andrew) of Buzzards Bay, grandfather to three grandkids whom he adored: Jack, Elizabeth and Haley - he was so proud of his grandkids and loved the kind young people they have become; brother to Kathy Rumble of Weymouth, Sylvia McChesney of Colorado; uncle of Cyndi and Michael; he was predeceased by his friend and ex-wife, Peg Cordani. Dickie loved playing golf and riding his Harley, ending the day meeting friends for a cold beer. He was a kind and generous man who loved to help anyone who asked. Dickie loved his annual 4-month long trips to Florida. Thankfully, he was able to make one last trip with his son to say goodbye to his many friends. Dickie's many other adventures included trips to Aruba, skiing in the East and motorcycle trips out west. The most memorable motorcycle trips were a two-week long ride around the Great Lakes with his wife Kathy, trips to Sturgess and the West Coast and many other fun rides with friends. Dickie was a proud Local 17 member, retiring at the age of sixty, as well as a member at Plymouth Country Club, the John Alden Sportsman Club and Cold Springs Club. Special thanks to good friend Dave Pearson, who was his Uber driver, to Bill, Larry, Kevin and to the many other friends who spent time with Dick over the years and near the end. A special thank you for the great care provided by Cranberry Hospice and Nurse Kerry. May he rest in peace. Services will be private. For online guest book, please visit macdonaldfuneralhome.com
