John Roger Howell Ponce de Leon - John Roger Howell, aged 77, of Ponce de Leon, FL, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020, at Doctors Memorial Hospital in Bonifay, FL, after a short illness. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Cathy Howell, as well as one daughter, Johnna Carroll, and husband Scotty, of Westmoreland, TN. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Hannah Mathis and husband Matthew of Mount Juliet, TN, Jacob Carroll and wife Josie of Clarksville, TN, and Andrew Carroll of Westmoreland, TN. John was an avid collector of antique car accessories and was an expert on all things Ford Model A. He enjoyed helping those in the community, especially the elderly. He was sensitive to hurting people, always looking for opportunities to help the needy. Due to the heightened risk of Covid, no public service is being held at this time. The family plans to hold a memorial service in the future. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all who have reached out to them online and by phone to send their condolences during these unusual times.
