Roger William Spidle, age 85 of Osprey FL & South Portland, ME Passed away on December 14th, 2020. Roger was raised in Arlington, MA. He graduated from Boston University College & earned a CPA. He worked at Smithsonian and was the Dean of Finance for both Emerson College & Tufts Universitys School of Veterinary Medicine. Roger was a Belmont Town Meeting Member in the 1970's. He met his future wife Joan on Cape Cod at the young age of 13 and they were married in 1956. Together they raised their three sons in Belmont, MA in a neighborhood so great it earned the prestigious title of 'The Neighborhood. Rogers knack for history and trivia led to many raucous evenings around the kitchen table with fun loving family friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating in any form of weather, the worse the better it seemed. His family has fond memories of sailing the East Coast from NY to Nova Scotia. As well as the Caribbean. Roger is survived by his dedicated wife Joan, sons Scott and wife Lynne of Westford, MA, Ron and wife Sara of Cape Elizabeth, ME, and Ken of Brunswick, ME. As well as three grandchildren Emily, Josie & Gavin of Cape Elizabeth, ME. Services will be private.
