She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sandy and Tom Jelinski, Chris and Jerry Black; daughter-in-law, Jody Beukema-Yeakey; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of the late Cora and late John Scheeringa, Cornelius and the late Grace DeHorn, George and the late Audrey Hiskes, Alfred and the late Dina Recker, and Sandra and the late Ed Cooper. A private graveside service will be held at Blain Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the charity of one's choice. The family would like to thank her second family at the Lodge of American House for their love and friendship which enriched Gertie's last years. To honor her memory love generously, laugh often, and squeeze the joy out of every moment. Condolences may be sent online at www.mkdfuneralhome.com .
