Visitation begins in 13 days
In memory of
James Doyle Malone
James Doyle Malone, age 84, of Birmingham, answered the call from his heavenly father to come home on Friday, November 20, 2020. He was a humble man, and a loving husband, father, and papaw. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army for 11 years. Mr. Malone was a friend to all he knew, and a member of the Leeds Worship Center where he served as an usher. He loved woodworking and bird watching, and especially enjoyed collecting Civil War memorabilia. He loved watching SEC football, and was a loyal MSU Bulldogs fan. Ever the student and avid reader, Mr. Malone always held an interest in learning something new. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Eunice Malone; six siblings; his daughter, Teresa Harger; and his grandson, Branden Malone. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margie Duncan Malone; his children, Kimberly McMillen (Daniel), Scott Malone (Gaylia), and Christy Buckelew (Robby); six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 1:30 pm until 2:30 pm at The Leeds Worship Center. A Memorial Service will follow at 2:30 pm. Pastor Rick Bradford is officiating.
