Carolyn Carson Dorsey
Carolyn Carson Dorsey 1958 - 2020 Carolyn Carson Dorsey of Morristown, N.J., passed gently and peacefully at her home on November 1, 2020 after a two-year struggle with cancer. Her husband, Jonathan Klizas, was at her side. In addition to her husband and his son and wife, Carolyn is survived by her father, Dr. John M. Dorsey; her brothers John and Joseph Dorsey, and their respective families; and her Aunt Patricia Lay-Dorsey and Uncle Edward Dorsey. Her mother is the late Sally Stanton. Carolyn was a loyal and loving person, with friends from her childhood in Michigan through her life in Morristown. A graduate from the University of Michigan School of Art and Design, Carolyn had a career designing textiles. In her forties, she made a career change earning an MLS degree from Rutgers and was employed by the Morristown and Morris Township Library since 2010 in the North Jersey History and Genealogy Center. She was president of the New Jersey Library Association History and Preservation Section Carolyn from 2016-17. Carolyn considered her 2009 marriage to Jonathan the greatest gift in her life. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2018. Her kindness and compassion never ceased and were her greatest works of art. She is truly missed by all who knew her.
