In memory of
Lynette D. Wogsberg
Lyn Wogsberg, Laguna Niguel, CA was born on 30 April 1944 in Phoenix, AZ and passed on 09 September 2020 in Mission Viejo, CA. She was 76 years old at her death. A private memorial service will be held for Lyn. She is survived by Phil Wogsberg, her husband of 45 years, her daughters Lisa A. Albers of Olympia, WA, Lori M. Juhnke of Oregon City, OR, Shaina R. Purves of Tigard, OR, and Natane K. Wogsberg of Dana Point, CA. She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren: Larissa, Adam, Ashley, Andrew, and Abraham Albers of Olympia, WA and David, Joseph, Hannah, Mary, and Andrew Purves of Tigard, OR. In her professional career, Lyn worked for Bank of California (Portland, OR), Fred Meyer, Inc. (Portland, OR), Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments (Salem, OR), City of San Rafael, CA, and owned and operated Billowing Banners (Issaquah, WA). She brought organization and efficiencies to the organizations for which she worked. Throughout her life, Lyn led with her heart. She was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, friend, and confidant. On the skill side, she was a highly skilled artist, crafter, seamstress, designer, and accountant. She also served as a cookie mom, Girl Scout Leader, and Girl Scout Columbia River Councilmember. She was fearless, intrepid, and brave. Among her many exploits, she rode a donkey, took a zero gravity acrobatic flight off Florida's Atlantic Coast. She was also an outstanding ballroom dancer with unmatched rhythm and technique. She won a cooking sweepstakes award for her pound cake at the Oregon State Fair and dozens of blue ribbons for her crafts at the Multnomah County, Marin County, and California State Fairs. She graduated with high marks from Portland's Roosevelt High School. She attended one year at Oregon State University as a Home Economics major; she attended Pacific Business College, Portland State University, Portland Community College and later earned four Associate Degrees at Saddleback Community College in computer design, graphic design, and illustration. All too often, Lyn's Saddleback Emeritus Class instructors checked with her first when they were attempting a difficult needlework or design pattern. She will always be in our memories as an unforgettable presence and our indefatigable hero. Her final resting place of honor will be the Willamette National Cemetery, Happy Valley (adjacent to Portland), Oregon. We all have all learned that Lyn's hugs last long after she lets go!
