Norva Lea "Corky" (Swallow) Chipman Aug. 14, 1939 - Nov. 6, 2020 OKLAHOMA CITY Norva Lea "Corky" Chipman, 81, passed from this life on Nov. 6, 2020, in Oklahoma City. Corky was born in Tangiers, OK on Aug. 14, 1939, to Lee and Nellie (Smith) Swallow. She graduated from high school in Fort Supply, OK in 1957, and married Clarance A. Chipman on Aug. 26, 1958, in Chester, OK. She was the family historian and kept up with family and friends through her love of talking on the phone. She was a financial bookkeeper for many years and retired from Nigh Savings and Loan. She was preceded in death by siblings, Rhea Mae Hunter and Laura Faye Chance; both her parents; and son-in-law, Billy Bateman Jr. She is survived two daughters, Angela Kay Bateman and Fonda Logston (Mitch); and grandchildren, Billy Ray Bateman III (Stephanie), Leslie Madrid (Jason), Leea Mote (Wes), and Cody Logston (Morgan). She was blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Preston, Krista, Chastity, Kailyn, Noah, Cason, Paisley, Candan, and Maddock, who survive her; and many nieces, nephews. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
