Dennis Lee Statham Oct. 27, 1937 - Nov. 3, 2020 OKLAHOMA CITY Dennis Statham, beloved husband, father and friend, died Nov. 3, 2020, in Oklahoma City. He was born Oct. 27, 1937, in Bartlesville, OK. Dennis graduated College High, Bartlesville in 1955. He received his degree in accounting from The University of Oklahoma in 1961. While at OU, Dennis met his wife and best friend for life, Wanda Goodpasture. The two celebrated their 60th anniversary this past April. Dennis was a CPA for 51 years, continuing in his practice up until his death. Whether in single practice or in partnerships through the years, Dennis loved working with his clients and treated them as friends. Dennis loved people and gave back to the community. He was active in Rotary for 50 years with more than 40 years of perfect attendance. He was also active in Oklahoma City Executive Association for 26 years. His family was his pride and joy. If you knew Dennis, you knew about his children and especially, his grandchildren. Dennis made sure his grandchildren knew that he gently hung the moon for them every night to help light their way in the dark. Dennis treated everyone he met with love and respect. He made everyone he met feel special and like family. Dennis' humor and wit will be missed by so many. Dennis is survived by his wife, Wanda. He is also survived by his six children by birth and by love, Sherri and Ken Chancellor, Kevin and Michaelle Statham, and Suzann and Daniel Wade, all of Oklahoma City. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lindsey Chancellor and Mason Williams, Conrad Statham, Adam Chancellor, Madeline Wade, Carson Statham, and Sean Wade; many nieces and nephews; and a brother, Don Statham. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Sue and Ellsworth; and his two younger brothers, Jerry and Gary Statham. Dennis will be laid to rest in graveside services at Rose Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to Infant Crisis Center of Oklahoma in his name.
