Patrick D. "Flame" Milligan
GALESBURG - Mr. Patrick D. "Flame" Milligan, 63, of Galesburg, passed away at 5:52 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center emergency room. Flame was born Dec. 27, 1956, in Galesburg, the son of Leon and Iona (Dunham) Milligan. He is survived by his brother, Michael (and his wife, Rosette) Milligan of Triangle, Virginia; his nephew, Michael Milligan; his niece, Jennifer (and her husband, Shannon) Graham; four great nephews, Mason and Gino Graham and Michael and Hunter Milligan and two very close friends that Flame considered his family, Donna Medina and Dee Dee Hubbard. He is preceded in death by his parents. Flame graduated from Galesburg High School in 1975 and worked briefly for Maytag Corporation. A gear head at heart, he worked passionately as a mechanic for the former Firestone, now Pomp's Tire for 25 years. He had a true love for the classic hot rod cars and turning wrenches in his garage. Flame had a host of friends that he played with on volleyball and dart leagues. He had even earned the title of Illinois Dart Champion at one time. Flame followed the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Blackhawks. It was his wishes to be cremated and buried alongside his mother in Memorial Park Cemetery. In remembrance of his mother, memorials may be made to the OSF Hospice. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
