Mary Elizabeth McRoberts Orazem, 88 Loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Mary Elizabeth McRoberts Orazem, 88, passed away on Wednesday November 18, 2020. The lifelong islander Mary was born on September 4th, 1932 in Staten Island, NY to the late Raymond McRoberts and Elizabeth Keane McRoberts. She was one of eleven children - the late Raymond, John, and James McRoberts, Jeannie Fischer and Eileen Panzella and is survived by sisters Patricia Martuccio, Margaret Ruess, Elizabeth Mortensen, Frances Iannuzzi and Judith Wheeler. Mary was the mother of six beloved children - Edward Orazem, Carol DiPaolo (Joseph), Robert Orazem (Sharon Kafader), Richard Orazem (Mary), Kathleen Eberlein (John) and Colleen Stephens (Brian). Mary was the grandmother to eleven cherished grandchildren - Joseph and wife Theresa, Corey, John, Jessica, Amanda, Brian, Meghan, Jillian, Andrew, Hanora, and Mary along with two beloved great-grandchildren - Peyton and Hailey. Mary retired as a school crossing guard after many years of service. She loved antiques, tea, all things pink, card games, roses, and angels, but most of all spending time with family and friends. Mary would always light up a room and had a wonderful way of making everyone feel special. She touched the hearts of so many and left an impact on innumerable lives. If you ask anyone to describe Mary, people would undoubtedly tell you that she had the biggest heart, brightest smile, and warmest hugs. Mary would do anything for her family and never missed the opportunity to attend family gatherings. A walk-through viewing will be held at Harmon Funeral Home (571 Forest Ave), Monday, November 23rd at 10:15 am. Due to the circumstances, a celebration of Mary's life will be held at a later date.
