Veronica (Pizzolato) Parascondola, 86 Active at St. Charles parish, loved her Italian heritage Veronica (Pizzolato) Parascondola, 86 years old, born in Flushing, Queens, died on November 18, 2020. She moved from Brooklyn to Staten Island in 1962. She is lovingly survived by her family, son, Daniel, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, daughter Gayle, loving grandmother to Lauren and Marco Cardillo, Anthony Joseph Parascondola and Michael Anthony Parascondola, great grandmother to Nico Joseph Cardillo, brother Victor Pizzolato, and adoring nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Giuseppe and Ida Pizzolato, and heartbreakingly predeceased by her husband, Anthony Parascondola, and son Anthony Robert Parascondola. Veronica was an active parishioner at St. Charles Church and volunteered many years at St. Charles School. She was a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation since 1970 and a member of The Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, Fr. Vincent R. Capodanno Lodge, and the Garibaldi Meucci Museum and Italian Cultural Center of Staten Island. She loved her heritage and shared an abundance of her recipes with family and friends. Veronica loved sewing, cooking, and Italian music. Veronica had many gifts, yet her most significant contribution was the gift of love. She was friendly to all and always had a smile on her face. She is loved by her family near and afar, and many friends. Services will be held for family only at Colonial Funeral Home, 2819 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY on Saturday, November 21, 2020, followed by a funeral mass at 9:15 am at St. Charles Church, 200 Penn Avenue, Staten Island, NY. Interment will follow after that at Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. Memorial contributions in Veronica's name may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at www.cff.org .
