Perry Holland
Perry Holland Dec. 11, 1930 - Nov. 11, 2020 Perry Holland passed Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020, in his home of 53 years surrounded by loved ones. Perry was born in Raleigh, N.C., to Samuel Noland and Perry Leigh Holland. He was the V.P. of City Bank in New York and Puerto Rico. V.P. of of International Banking. Perry was President and Chairman of the Japan American Society and International Club. Perry was chosen to host Henry Kissinger for a dinner event in Portland by Governor Tom McCall. We don't remember what people said or what they did. We remember someone for how they made us feel. Perry made everyone feel like he knew them for a lifetime. He could instantly melt your heart with his smile. There wasn't a person who met Perry that didn't have good things to say about him. Perry could only be described as a gentle giant. You may have passed on from this world, but you will forever live on as a legend in the hearts of your loved ones. RIP Perry "Grip" Holland. "In my heart will ever lie, with an echo of a sigh, goodbye." Vera Lynn Perry Holland is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sandra Holland; his sister, Laura; his children, Griff, Hayden, Loryn, and Scott. Finally his grandchildren, Harrison, Forrest, Reed, and Samantha. Please sign the online guest book at www.oregonlive.com/obits
