David Michael Johnson March 21, 1942 - Nov. 10, 2020 Johnson, David Michael died Nov. 10, 2020 from a cerebral hemorrhage. David was born in Detroit, Mich., March 21, 1942 to Raymond and Viola Johnson. In 1974, David moved to Portland, Ore., where he met his future wife, Kathy Johnson. David and Kathy were married for 35 years. He became a loving father to Erin, Kathy's daughter from a previous marriage, and together they had a son, Brent. David described the years he and Kathy spent together raising their family as the happiest time of his life. Kathy died in 2014 after a long battle with breast cancer. David leaves behind a legacy in his community from his career as a therapist and later as a manager of addiction treatment programs. He is survived by his children, Erin Liedle and Brent Johnson, their families; his brother, Paul Nuchims; and his sister, Mira Rodwan. David was laid to rest in River View Cemetery in Portland.
