Susan (Carlson) Murphy CANANDAIGUA - Susan (Carlson) Murphy, age 66, passed away, after a brief battle with cancer, on Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, while surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Tom Murphy; two children, Kelley (Kevin) Robinson and T. J. Murphy; two sisters, Kathy Carlson and Terri (Steve) Landschoot; nieces and nephews; and dog, Reggie. Sue was born in Penn Yan and was the daughter of Richard and Noelle (Carney) Carlson. She attended Canandaigua schools and was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy. While Sue was growing up, she worked at Schreck's Bakery in Canandaigua, which was owned by her grandparents and that's where she met her husband Tom. Sue later worked as an administrative assistant throughout her career. She was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services are private. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canandaigua. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., East Syracuse, NY 13057; or Ontario County Humane Society, 2976 County Road 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424.
