John J. Krutsick MARTINS CREEK John J. Krutsick, 97, of Martins Creek, PA passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020, at his daughter's residence. He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Porambo) Krutsick, who died in 2009. Born in Lansford, PA, on November 1, 1923, he was a son of the late Albert and Sophie (Sroka) Kruczek. A graduate of Summit Hill High School , he served in the U.S. Navy in World War II on the USS Pittsburgh. Upon return, he worked in the coal mines of Lansford # 9, and later at Alpha Portland Cement Company and Ingersoll-Rand. He retired as a Boiler Attendant at PPL, Martins Creek, in 1986. He enjoyed swimming at the Family YMCA of Easton, watching Lafayette Leopards football and basketball games, and, most of all, playing his accordion and enjoying polka music. He was a devoted member of St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church, Martins Creek, PA. He is survived by sons, John V., Edward W. and wife Diane, and Robert R., all of Martins Creek, PA and Joseph J. of Fernwood, PA; a daughter Ann Marie and husband William Corriere Jr. of Palmer Twp.; grandchildren, Brian, Maurice, William III, Alison; and great-grandchildren, Neveah, Mya, Maurice Jr, Lilliana and Olivia. He was predeceased by brothers, Adam and Stanley, and sisters, Rose Albertson, Florence Koscak, Mary Mahalick, and Sister Tarcissia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17 at St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church, Martins Creek, PA, with Rev. Father Joseph Kweder officiating. Family and friends are invited to call from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the James J. Palmeri Funeral Home, 6602 Alpha Ave., Martins Creek, PA.
