Carol A. (Ryan) Miller CANANDAIGUA - Carol A. (Ryan) Miller, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, with family by her side. She is survived by three children, JR (Bethann) Miller, Kurt Miller and Kathryn "Kati" Miller; stepdaughter, Kathleen Glines; two grandchildren, Meghan and Rebecca; two siblings, Patricia Budz and Timothy (Carla) Ryan; several nieces and nephews; and dog, Tulla. She was predeceased by her husband, Ken Miller in 1984; and three siblings, Connie Thornton, John R. "Jack" Ryan, Jr. and Edward Ryan. Carol was born in Canandaigua and was the daughter of John and Kathryn (McNerney) Ryan. She was a graduate of St. Mary's School, class of 1955, and Canandaigua Academy, class of 1959. Carol earned a bachelor's degree from SUNY Brockport, class of 1963. She taught school for a few years and later opened Antiques Unlimited in Canandaigua. Carol was actively involved in the family business, Ryan's Wine & Spirits in Canandaigua. She was a member of St. Mary's Church. Carol enjoyed antiques, reading and rug hooking. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private memorial Mass will be held for Carol. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time to be announced. Interment will be in North Bloomfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Canandaigua Canine Campus, c/o City of Canandaigua, 2 N. Main St., Canandaigua, NY 14424.
