Yvonne E. Clapp September 27, 1927 - July 7, 2019 Yvonne E. Clapp passed away peacefully on June 7th, 2019 at the age of 91. She was born in North Hollywood, California to William and Inez Johnson. A graduate of North Hollywood High School in 1943, Yvonne married Stan Hays in 1946 . They had 2 children, Steven and Robin. Yvonne was sadly widowed when Stan passed at a young age but remarried to George V. Clapp in 1960. Together they raised Steven and Robin in Santa Maria, California. Yvonne was a very active member of the philanthropic sorority, Beta Sigma Phi, and was a successful fundraiser for many worthy causes. She loved working in the garden and was a talented artist, painting beautiful scenes in traditional Asian ink art style. Yvonne had a great sense of humor. She loved telling jokes and in later years dressing in costumes for themed parties held at The Windsor Court, where she resided in Palm Springs for the past 12 years. Yvonne was predeceased by her husband George and her son Steven Hays. She is survived by her daughter Robin Koshinz, her brother William L Johnson, nieces Janelle Butler and Nancee Baldino and nephew William Johnson III. She will be remembered for her fun spirit and a kind and giving heart.
