Margaret L. "Peggy" Wohlfarth died on October 15, 2020, from the complications of Alzheimer's Disease. She was 85, and most recently a resident of Arden Courts, having lived in Lower Paxton Township previously. Peggy was the daughter of Geraldine Pipp McConnell and Herbert McConnell, and was born in Harrisburg, PA. After attending William Penn High School and graduating in 1953, she married the late John H. Wohlfarth. Peggy attended Shippensburg University, graduating in 1979 with a B.A., and in 1985 with a Master's Degree in Library Science. She worked as an elementary school librarian in the Mechanicsburg School District. She belonged to Central Penn Fitness Club for many years, where she enjoyed water aerobics and her class friends. She was a member of Pine Street Presbyterian Church. Peggy is survived by her three children, Vickie A. Bucher (wife of Clark) of Harrisburg, PA, Sharon L. Williams of Gainesville, FL and Douglas J. Wohlfarth (husband of Alana) of Paxtang, PA; four grandchildren, Matthew Williams of Pittsburgh, PA, Jonathan Williams of Clarion, PA, Stephanie McGrail of Gainesville, FL, and Justin Randall of Mechanicsburg, PA. Peggy also is survived by eight great-grandchildren, Zachary and Samantha Williams, Michael and Scott Williams, Griffin and Rowan McGrail, and Jaylyn and Hendrix Randall. She is also survived by two sisters, Lynda Simmonds of Camp Hill, PA and Kay Shearer of Enola, PA, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Paul McConnell. Peggy is also survived by her companion, Tommy Burns. She enjoyed gardening, cycling and travelling, having been to all 50 states. Peggy also enjoyed watching her grandchildren in their various sporting events. A visitation will be held at 9:30 AM on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the Neill Funeral Home, 3501 Derry St., Harrisburg. A Memorial Service will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday following the visitation. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110. www.pennlive.com/obits
