Carol Lincoln
Carol Lee Lincoln, 84, of East Longmeadow passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 14, 2020 at her daughter’s home. Carol, daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret (Gregg) House, was born in Springfield on October 2, 1936. Raised in Springfield, she was a graduate of High School of Commerce and went on to attain her Associate’s degree in accounting from Holyoke Community College. Carol worked as an executive secretary and comptroller for PPE Inc in East Longmeadow. She then returned to school and obtained her barbers license and became the owner and operator of Vincent’s Barbershop in East Longmeadow for many years before retiring. Carol was an avid reader and had a true compassion for animals. She was also a devoted Red Sox and Patriots Fan. Above all, Carol loved spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard H. Lincoln in March; and her brother, Lynn House. Carol will be missed by all who knew her, including her children, Kimberly Ashton and her husband David of South Hadley, Susan Lussier and her husband Steven of East Longmeadow, Scott Lincoln and his wife Beverly of Easthampton and Michele Lincoln of Orleans; her brother, Robert House of East Longmeadow; her 9 grandchildren, her 7 great grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends. Visiting Hours for Carol will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 4PM to 6:30PM at Sampson’s Chapel of the Acres, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield. A Funeral Home Service will follow at 6:30PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carol’s memory may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104.
