Eric Jerome Schutte Evansville - Eric Jerome Schutte born March 27, 1967 passed away peacefully at the Harcourt Terrace Hospice in Indianapolis due to complications with pneumonia on October 13, 2020. Eric was the middle son of Francis G. and Janice M Schutte (Duncan) of Evansville, Indiana. Eric was a special needs child suffering from mental disabilities and various physical disabilities that required he live in specialized hospitals and group homes throughout his life. Prior to being transferred to hospice, Eric resided at a KARC group home in Bicknell, Indiana for several years. Eric was preceded in death by his father, Francis, in 1998. Surviving relatives include his mother, Janice Schutte of Zionsville, Indiana; older brother, Francis J. (Fritz) Schutte and his wife Keir (Kendall) of Lebanon, Indiana; and a nephew, Christopher (CJ) Schutte, a senior at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. Also surviving is his younger brother, Christopher T. Schutte and his wife Julie (Eckert) and their children, Eric's nephew, Kane and niece, Gigi, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Eric also has several uncles, aunts, and cousins in and around Evansville and the Washington DC area. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Father Godfrey Mullen officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences may be made online at www.ziemerfuneralhome.com .
