Jean Katherine (Hageny) Lahey La Quinta - Jean Katherine ( Hageny) Lahey of La Quinta, California died Friday, September 25, 2020, at home, surrounded by family members. Jean was born in New York City on October 26, 1934, to Dr. William J Hageny and Mildred Boyce Hageny. Jean's final years were spent in Rancho La Quinta, CA. Here she spent time playing tennis and golf and enjoying friends and family. She also made time to volunteer as a patient advocate at Eisenhower Hospital in Palm Desert, California. Jean is survived by her husband, James, her sister, Hannah Wetherell ( Bob) and children: Mike, Maura Dorch( Carl), and Peter( Robin), as well as grandchildren: Jon, Tyler, Katherine, Carris, PJ, Elie, Christopher, and Emma. She was beloved by these family members and her many nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by many as a wonderful friend. A celebration of her life for friends and family will be held in California when COVID-19 permits large gatherings. This will be followed by a goodbye in Cold Spring, NY. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
