Budinger, Mary T. 5/28/1935 - 10/12/2020 Ypsilanti, Michigan Died Monday, October 12, 2020 at The Gilbert Residence in Ypsilanti. She was born on May 28, 1935 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Clement B. & Margaret A. (Kniep) Budinger. Mary attended Catholic schools in Milwaukee and graduated in 1952. In May of 1953, she moved with her family to Ypsilanti. She attended Cleary College and became a medical secretary. Mary is survived by her brother John Budinger of Chelsea, and her sister Pat Zolkosky of Needles, CA. and brother-in-law, Richard Stacy of Ann Arbor. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Theresa (Rob) Stinnett, John (Ivy) Stacy, Carol Stacy and Sophia, Patrick (Deanna) Stacy, Angela (Andy) McKinley, Michelle Cabrera, Michael (Kelly) Budinger, Todd (Liz) Zolkosky, Erin Zolkosky and Colleen (Jeremy) Smith, and many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her sister Susan Stacy and her sister-in-law Penny Budinger. Mary was a wonderful daughter, sister and aunt. She worked as a medical secretary for several doctors in Ann Arbor and, after retirement, worked part time at Joann Fabrics, as she loved sewing and creating clothing, etc. She was a great help to her parents as they aged. One of the highlights in Mary's life was her visit to Ireland, with her Aunt Betty, to tour the country and find records of her Grandmother (Flanagan) Kniep's Irish heritage. Mary attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ypsilanti, was a choir member and was involved in many activities at the church. Her family would like to thank Gilbert residence for helping Mary during the last several years and Special thanks to Susan Stacy, Theresa Stinnett and John Stacy for all of their hard work helping Mary with many tasks in her life. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, October 19, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Ypsilanti, Michigan, with Fr. David Harvey as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Janowiak Funeral Home from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m., and at the Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Ypsilanti, Michigan.
