Wayne E. Myers, Jr, 69, of Mechanicsburg, Pa, died on October 11, 2020 at Carolyn's Hospice House, Harrisburg, PA. He was born in Carlisle, PA on November 15, 1950. He was predeceased by his father, Wayne E. Myers, Sr; his mother, Sara Cocklin Myers; and his brother-in-law, Larry A. Rhone. Surviving are his sisters, Jane M. Rhone and Linda M. Gruber, and his brother-in-law, Thomas B. Gruber; his nieces and nephews Kathy Gruber Hines (Joseph), David Gruber (Abby), Benjamin Gruber (Jennifer) and Amanda Rhone Sabers; his grand nieces and nephews Nathaniel Kiehn, Sebastian Kiehn, Addison Gruber, Madelynn Gruber and Isabelle Gruber. He also leaves behind many close friends. He graduated from Northern High School in 1968 and Tusculum University in 1972. He worked in the property and casualty insurance industry for 40 years. He retired from Penn National Insurance, Harrisburg, PA after 37 years. He was a lifetime member of Christ Lutheran Church, Filey's Parish. The funeral and burial, at Filey's Cemetery Dillsburg, PA will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Dillsburg Public Library, 204 Mumper Lane, Dillsburg, PA 17019, a cause dear to his mother; Christ Lutheran Church, Filey's parish; or the American Cancer Society.
