Eleanor S. Farrell
Mrs. Eleanor S. Farrell, 96, of Augusta, GA passed away peacefully October 10, 2020. Eleanor was born August 6, 1924 in Everett, OH. She was the daughter of Emily and Baird Shultz. At a young age she was adopted by her aunt and uncle Edna and Marc Stutzman who she loved very much and considered them her mom and dad as well. Eleanor served her country during WWII in the Women's Army Corp. During her service, she met the love of her life, her husband Bill. Following her husband's retirement, they enjoyed traveling. They spent many years in Carlisle, PA raising their family. In 1983, they decided to leave the snowy winters and moved to Augusta, GA. Eleanor was a devoted member of The First Church of Christ Scientist. Her faith served her well and was an inspiration to many. In the words of one of her favorite hymns, "Mother finds her home and heavenly rest". She was preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, William E. Farrell. She is survived by her son Marc Farrell (Diane McCormick) of Harrisburg, PA and daughters Diane Farrell Walker also of Harrisburg, PA and Mary Ann Ferguson of Augusta, GA. Grandchildren Carey Gohl-Campbell, Bryden McCurdy, Meaghan Farrell and Katy Miller. Great-Grandchildren Joshua Johnson, Kaleb Campbell, Adria McGarry, Audrey Chambers, Easton Miller and Harper Ann Miller. Service will be at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, PA. www.pennlive.com/obits
