Joan L. Hrestak, 89, of Steelton, went to be with her Lord Monday, October 12, 2020 at Homeland Center. Born January 1, 1931 in Steelton; loving daughter of the late James and Lottie (Shelley) Tuckey; beloved wife of the late Frank M. Hrestak; cherished mother of Frank M. Hrestak Jr. (Allison); sister of Betty Dye and Dorothy Zimmerman; Preceded in death by sisters, Emma Strickler, Ruth Foster and Mary Smeigh; also survived by several nieces and nephews. Joan was a life member of the Women of the Moose, Steelton, PA Chapter 919 where she served on numerous boards. She worked for Laird Hagee Insurance Company as a bookkeeper and volunteered in the activities department at Susquehanna Center Nursing Home. She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 17, 2020 in Wiedeman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 357 S. Harrisburg St. Oberlin, with the Rev. Steven Cowler, Officiating. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg.
