Frank Brown
Frank Robert Brown was born July 21, 1940 in Letchworth, England to Frank and Joan Brown. Frank and his family immigrated to the United States when he was 14. He became a proud American citizen on July 22, 1958. He attended school in Compton, graduating from Garden Grove High School in 1956. On December 20, 1959, Frank married his high school sweetheart Linda McCarver. They had two daughters. Tamara Gostynski from Apple Valley, CA and Joan Lowerimore of Bakersfield, CA. Linda preceded him in death in 1982. Frank married his second wife, Shirley Greene on June 10, 1983. He became the proud father of four step-children. William Berry of Bangkok, Thailand, Michael Berry of Bay City, TX, Dawn Mackie of Chino Hills, CA and Sharlene Rice of Yorba Linda, CA. The blended family soon grew to fourteen grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. He spent most of his career as a land surveyor and in his spare time, he was an avid deep sea fisherman. . Early every morning, Frank went to his favorite restaurants for breakfast, where he became friends with lots of people. He was a larger than life man who was known for his bright personality and witty English humor He was preceded in death by his first wife Linda, his parents Frank and Joan Brown, his sister Linda; his granddaughter Catherine, and his son in law, Andrew Mackie. Frank leaves behind his, Shirley, his six children, and thirteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and countless friends. Celebration of life will be held at Canyon Hills Friends Church in Yorba Linda, CA at 10:00 am on October 17, 2020. Reception to follow service. In lieu of flowers donate to the Ocean Conservancy at donate.oceanconservancy.org/donate in memory of Frank Brown.
