In memory of
Eleanor Knos
Eleanor "Ellie" Knos passed into the arms of Jesus on the morning of June 30, 2020, in Mesa, AZ. Born and raised in Buffalo, NY, Ellie was one of five children born to the late Nicholas and Josephine Fusco. Ellie met her late husband Ron on a blind date and the two were married November 5, 1955. During the couple's 57 years of marriage, they raised 3 children and were blessed with 5 grandchildren. Their love of travel brought them to Japan, Europe, Spain and Mexico. The family moved several times around the country before settling in Fountain Valley, CA where they lived from 1972-96. The couple later retired to Prescott Valley, AZ. While in Fountain Valley, Ellie raised her family, worked for the family business, was a "Lunch Lady" at Costa Mesa High and was active in the PTA. She volunteered at her church as a Bethel Bible teacher and later served in Cursillo ministry in Arizona. Ron and Ellie always seemed to welcome guests into their home whether it be relatives from New York or foreign exchange students from Japan. Ellie loved spending time with family and friends, cooking, golfing, bowling, playing cards and loving on her grandchildren. Those who knew her best would describe her as both feisty and fun. She will be greatly missed and is survived by her 3 children, their spouses and 5 grandchildren.
