Marjorie Lucille Fischer (nee Clay) age 82 of Orange, California, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Beloved wife of David B. Fischer; loving mother of 2 children, her son David Douglas Fischer (Laurie Fischer) and her daughter Leslie Ann Redger (Dennis Redger); loving grandmother of 4, Terrence J. Cole (Minette Cole), Holly Fischer, Sean D. Fischer (Briana Fischer) and Megan N. Rocha (Robert Rocha); and great grandmother of 4, Liam Ivy, Parker Jane Ivy, Jaxson Rocha and Luke Douglas Fischer. Margie is preceded in death by her son, David Douglas Fischer and her parents, Herman P. Clay and Barbara L. Clay. Margie was born on March 2, 1938, and grew up in Fullerton, California. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1956, and briefly attended Pepperdine University, where she participated in the Zeta Kappa sorority. Margie later continued her higher education and earned a BA in teaching from California State University, Long Beach. Margie and David began their lifelong journey together when they met working at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California in the summer of 1956. They were married the following summer on June 16, 1957. She spent her life lovingly caring for her husband and family. An avid supporter of her children's and grandchildren's activities and events, she kept a busy schedule attending various events, games, swim meets, concerts, recitals and ceremonies. The story of her family is one of faith, love, music, time, and memories all the wonderful things that mattered most in her life. A memorial service will be held on October 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Irvine (4800 Irvine Center Dr., Irvine, California 92604). In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church of Irvine's music department (Memo Line: Margie Fischer Memorial) or to the Alzheimer's Foundation at www.alzfdn.org .
