Hilda White Scott, age 92, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2020. A native of Alamance Country, she was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Maude White, brother, Richard White, sisters, Elaine Johnson and Betty Rae Spivey and her special friend, Cullen Swindell. In addition to her many friends at Countryside Manor in Stokesdale, she is survived by her five children: Betsy Winborne, Carolyn White (Michael), Ralph Scott III (Heide), Marie Amon (Mark), and Nancy Davis (Bobby), and their father, Henderson Scott, Jr. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Hilda loved doing crafts and was a talented seamstress. She enjoyed swimming and water aerobics, eating out and traveling. Her family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Countryside Manor in Stokesdale for their service and many kindnesses expressed to their mother over these past years. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, no service is planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to: Tabitha's Closet, 4547-B Hwy 220 N, Summerfield, NC 27358. Hilda and Cullen volunteered many years at Tabitha's and believed in their mission. Tabitha's is a thrift clothing and furniture store that raises funds for Tabitha Ministry, which provides HELP, HOPE and a HOME to hurting women.
