Mary Eleanor Melson Rogers Westville - Mrs. Mary Eleanor Melson Rogers, age 93, passed away October 6, 2020 at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She was born December 6, 1926 in Liberty County Florida to the late James Calvin Melson and Mollie Madison Hall Melson. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Rogers and eight siblings. Mrs. Rogers is survived by two daughters, Glendora Pitts and husband James of Niceville, FL and Rita Gail Howard of Niceville, FL; three grandchildren, Gina Moreno, Gregory Yates, and Scott Howard and wife Christi; five great-grandchildren, Trevor Yates, Bo Howard, Caroline Templeton, Holland Templeton and Jackson Templeton; two great-great-grandchildren, Kamoe Yates and Oakley Yates; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 17, 2020, at Mt Pleasant Assembly of God Church with the Reverends Clyde Smith and James Lamb officiating. Interment will follow in the Campground Cemetery with Peel Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Saturday from 10 to 11 AM at Mt Pleasant Assembly of God Church.
