GREEN LEVEL - Mrs. Hattie Mae McBroom Clough was born February 20, 1934 to the late Jasper and Adean McBroom. Hattie Mae was a graduate of Pleasant Grove High School, Class of 1952. She also graduated from the Durham Business School. She retired in 1996 from Michael Becker Industries. Mrs. Hattie loved her family very much as well as her friends. She was well known for her cooking and crocheting. The family will really miss her cooking. She took great joy in helping others and was always willing to contribute to activities designed for the youth within the church home. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Green Level Christian Church. On Monday, October 5th , 2020, Mrs. Hattie Mae McBroom Clough mortal life ended. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Peter Parker Clough, son Minister Tony McBroom and daughter Gwendolyn Evans. She leaves to cherish her memories: 5 sons, Gregory McBroom (Belinda), Danny McBroom (Sheena), Peter McBroom, Keith McBroom, Cedric McBroom (Angela) and 1 daughter, Wanda McBroom. Onebrother Willia m McBroom. She has 29 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren as well as 1 niece and 1 nephew. Public viewing will be held from 1-8pm in the Mary Blackwell Chapel on Monday, October 12, 2020. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 13th at 12 noon at Green Level Christian Church with the family arriving at 11:30am. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
