Age 80. The First Black Police Officer of Bessemer AL. Also served on the Bessemer City Council. Passed away Sept. 14, 2020. He was predeceased by his wife Cordelia Fancher and son Cornelius Fancher Jr.. Survived by his four daughters: Belinda (Douglas Sr.) Mitchell, Alesia Fancher, Rachel Fisher, and Adriane (Brian Sr.) Moore; one sister Marjorie Crawford (OH); three brothers-in-law Earl Cochran (AL), James Cochran (AL) and Luarthur (MD); 15 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
