Mr. Frank W. Ford, Jr., 92, of Westfield, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020. Born in Pittsfield, MA, on June 19, 1928, the son of the late Frank and Anna Perkins Ford, he attended local schools. He apprenticed at May Engineering and worked as a toolmaker for General Electric for 41 years. He was also a member of the General Electric Pensioners Club. Among many things, Frank enjoyed fishing or bowling a game or two with his friends and family, who were of utmost importance to him. He will be greatly missed by his dog, Rudy. Besides his beloved wife of over 50 years, the former Christine "Carolyn" Carlson, whom he married on May 4, 1968, Frank is survived by his children, Gail E. Ford and Sharron A. Slye (Robert) of Los Altos, CA, Marcia M. Nelson (Curtis) of Tucson, AZ, Christine A. Ford and James W. Ford of Pittsfield, MA, his grandchildren, Debbra Yamaguchi, Peter Clarke, Sandra Hittle, Robert Slye, Daniel Nelson, David Nelson, Desiree Nelson, Lindsey Ford, and Jesse Ford. He leaves behind 8 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and 1 niece. He was predeceased by his parents, and his brother Robert O. Ford. Funeral Notice: Funeral services for Mr. Frank W. Ford, Jr., will be Saturday, September 19, 2020, at 11 a.m. at the Unity Terrace at Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home, 220 East Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201, with Rich Hayes, Hospice Chaplain, officiating. There will be an hour of visitation at the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association in care of the Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home, 220 East Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201, in his memory.
