Jeffery A. Salamon, 51, unexpectedly passed away at home on August 31, 2020. Jeff grew up in Springfield and graduated from Roger L. Putnam Vocational-Technical High School in 1986. Jeffery was a Welder and enjoyed working at Dublin Steel Corporation in Palmer for 32 years where he was Plant Manager. Jeff’s “work family” at Dublin Steel describe him as “irreplaceable,” pledge that “he will never, ever be forgotten” and wish that Jeffery may forever rest in peace. Jeffery was a talented photographer and craftsman, an accomplished apiarist, passionate about gardening and an automotive enthusiast. As a person of epicurean tastes, Jeff also enjoyed traveling throughout Canada, Europe, and Hawaii. Jeffery was predeceased by his father, Walter F. Salamon Jr. and survived by his mother, Rose Mary (Sypek) Salamon, siblings: Cheryl Salamon, Sharon Tierney and Walter F. Salamon III (who also passed away September 3, 2020) their children and grandchildren, his godmother, Jean Ziemba, cousin, Wendy Ziemba, additional relatives, friends and many colleagues.
