On Saturday, September 12, 2020, Christopher Paul Burger, beloved son, brother, and uncle, passed peacefully at home in Newport, at the age of 45. Chris was born January 6, 1975, in Harrisburg, PA to Susan R. Appleby Burger Polly. Chris attended St. Catherine's Laboure Elementary and graduated from Dauphin County Technical School in 1993. He was employed with Total Plastics International for over ten years. He was a talented fabricator who could create whatever plastics design you asked of him. He was a sports fan, with his favorite teams being the Philadelphia Phillies, the Philadelphia Flyers, and the New Orleans Saints. He was also an avid Beatles fan and loved being in the outdoors fishing. However, one of his favorite things, was spending time with his niece and nephew, who loved him dearly. Chris's smile and quiet demeanor will be missed by those who knew and loved him. Chris is survived by his Mother Susan; brother Robert Burger and wife Rochelle, all of Newport; brother Lawrence Burger and wife Tiffanie, nephew Declan, and niece Teagan, all of Thompsontown; Aunt Jane DeFina, and husband Donald of Harrisburg; Aunt Elizabeth (Beth) McElhaney of Kansas City, MO; Uncle Robert Appleby of Harrisburg; several cousins, and many close friends. Arrangements are being handled by David M. Myers Funeral Home, Newport. A memorial service will be held at a later time, at the convenience of the family.
