In memory of
Anne C. Ford
Anne C Ford Nashville - Anne C Ford born July 26, 1945, passed peacefully from this life surrounded by family on Sept 12, 2020 after a brief illness. Anne was the oldest daughter of Vaden Nichols "Nick" Ford and Mary Cunningham Ford who preceded her in death as did her beloved younger sister, Margaret Lynne Ford. Anne was a native Nashvillian, graduated from St Cecilia Academy, George Peabody University at Vanderbilt and attended the New York School of Interior Design in New York City. She established Anne Ford and Associates, her Interior Design firm, in 1980 and worked tirelessly her entire career to design beautiful spaces with her special style and grace, delighting her clients who became her instant and dear friends. She was a longtime member of The Centennial Club, Cheekwood Botanical Gardens, and the Daughters of The American Revolution. Anne drew people to her with her warm, infectious laugh and made everyone feel at home in her presence. She will be deeply missed. Anne loved traveling (especially traveling throughout Europe). She was a consummate hostess; entertaining, cooking and arranging flowers. She loved gardening, shopping for exquisite antiques and spending time with friends and family. Anne is survived by Anne Cunningham (Joe) Maddux, her aunt, and a large number of loving cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family would be grateful if donations were made in Anne's memory to Cheekwood, St. Cecilia Academy, or the charity of your choice. Funeral Mass at St Henry's Catholic Church at 11 am Thursday, September 17, 2020. Pallbearers: Joe Maddux, Jr, John Maddux, Walt Cunningham, Mark Cunningham, Jeff Cost, Harrison Shields, Seth Cost, John Philip Cost and Jonathan Golab.
