Mary E. "Mitzy" Flyte
Mary E. 'Mitzy' Flyte BUSHKILL TOWNSHIP Mary E. "Mitzy" Flyte, 88, of Bushkill Township, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2020, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of the late Willard H. Flyte, with whom she shared 47 loving years of marriage prior to his passing in 2001. Born in Bath, she was a daughter of the late Henry G. and Ruth I. (George) Silvius. Mitzy, as she was affectionately known, was a graduate of Nazareth High School, Class of 1951. A devoted homemaker and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she worked in the apparel industry for several years. Mitzy enjoyed crocheting and was a talented musician who, at a very young age, played the piano and organ. She was a faithful and active member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Plainfield, where she taught Sunday school, was a member of the choir and Woman's Aglow Fellowship. Mitzy is survived by her loving children, Henry G. Flyte and wife, Kathy, of Nazareth, Neil E. Flyte with whom she resided, and Cheryl L. Wright and husband, William, of Wescosville; daughter-in-law, Joan E. (Zeiner) Flyte of Bushkill Township; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Willard, she was predeceased by a son, Keith E. Flyte, her three brothers, Paul, Russell and Sonny Silvius, and three sisters, Anna Stauffer, Edith Gyecsek, and Dolly Silvius. A public viewing for relatives and friends will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the GEORGE G. BENSING FUNERAL HOME, LLC, 2165 Community Drive, Route 946, Village of Moorestown - Bath, PA 18014, immediately followed by a Private Funeral Service at 1 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a maximum of 25 people will be permitted on a rotating basis, with social distancing and facial masks required. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to the Eastern Pennsylvania & Delaware American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. George G.
