BUCZEK, Gloria It is with great sadness that we share Gloria Ann Merritt Buczek, of Lewisville, Texas, passed away on June 28, 2020 at the age of 73 years old. She was born in Alva, Oklahoma on April 2, 1947 to Arch William and Mamie Virginia Merritt. Gloria is survived by her husband, Tom Buczek, her sister Wanda 'Juney' Merritt, 2 Daughters; Tammy Adcock and Charla Hensel, 1 Step Daughter; Brenda Buczek, 9 Grandchildren, and 6 Great Grandchildren. Gloria and Tom met at the Southern Kitchen Restaurant in 1974, where she was a waitress and he was a bartender. They married April 1, 1980 and they were together for 46 years at the time of her passing. Gloria, referred to as Mema by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, was a very loving and outgoing grandmother that always made life fun. She was strong willed, beautiful, affectionate, and fashionable. There was never a dull moment with Mema and she lived a tremendous full life of adventures with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and husband. Gloria worked in the Service Industry her entire working career, starting at KIP's Big Boy in the early 1960's and retired from Lawry's Prime Rib in 2012. Gloria and Tom, enjoyed countless Road trips, Train Rides, and Cruises across America and Mexico over the years together as well as with their granddaughter Crystal and had the blessing to be able to repeat many trips with their Great Granddaughter Tristin. Gloria will be dearly missed and we will always carry her memory in our hearts.
