Eleanor (Pierce) Fletcher CANANDAIGUA - Eleanor "Ellie" (Pierce) Fletcher, age 97, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, with her family by her side. She is survived by two sons, Peter (Jerry) Fletcher and Stephen (Alice) Fletcher; three grandchildren, Brett (Emily) Fletcher, Reagan (Jonathan) Ost and Nathan (Teresa) Fletcher; five great-grandchildren, Daisy, Zadoc, Silas, Lucian and Joni; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Elton L. "Pete" Fletcher in 1996; and sister, Lucille Bouck. Ellie was born in Canandaigua and was the daughter of Charles and Ethel (Parsons) Pierce. She attended the Little Gray School House in Bristol, was a graduate of Canandaigua Academy and attended Highland Hospital School of Nursing. Ellie left nursing to marry the love of her life, Pete and work with him on the dairy farm. She later worked at several local businesses, retiring to take care of her grandchildren, her favorite job of all. Ellie was a member of the United Church of Bristol, Centerfield Homemakers and she and Pete were members of Swingsters, a local dance club. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family. The family would like to extend special thanks to Lynn Burse and the staff at Serenity Home Care, Ontario-Yates Hospice and dear friend Sue Underhill for the loving care of Miss Ellie. Services are private. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Bristol. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Church of Bristol Food Cupboard, 7177 County Road 2, Bloomfield, NY 14469; or Light Hill, 5160 Parrish St., Ext., Canandaigua, NY 14424.
