Fox, Jesse B. Jesse Bruce Fox passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020, at Green Acres Assisted Living in Greenville, Michigan. Born on April 14, 1934, in West Frankfort, IL, Jesse grew up alongside his sister and brother, Carol and Tony, in Noblesville, IN. Jesse served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Parks Air College of St. Louis University with a degree in aviation engineering. He later obtained a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Illinois and went on to teach aviation mechanics for his lifelong career, primarily at Montcalm Community College. Jesse married Nancy Ann Hull in 1957 and they raised four children, Cathy, Sally, Dave, and Polly. The Fox Family moved to Greenville, MI in 1973. Jesse filled the family home with piano music, jokes and laughter and the garage with vintage cars to be restored. His greatest passion was playing with his grandchildren. After Nancy's death in 1995, Jesse married Marilyn L. Peterman in 1998. They loved to travel together and made numerous trips across the U.S. They also volunteered countless hours to restore and ensure the success of Heritage Village at MCC. Jesse was preceded in death by his mother and father, Nellie and Harmon Fox; his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Norman Cox; and brother, Tony Fox. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy; and two infant children, Joseph and Amy. Jesse is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn, and children: Cathy VanVoorhis (Mark), Sally Bolek (Tom), Dave Fox, Polly Brown (Kenneth), and Cris Hardy. Also surviving are Jesse's grandchildren: Mark D. (Jessy), Laura, Julie, Adam (Hannah), Michelle, Levi (Kris), Charlie (Tiffany), Sean; his four great-grandchildren: Hallie, Alice, Laura, and John; and his nieces and nephews: Doug, Steve, David, Brian, Courtney, Stacy, and Laura. Jesse was an active member of St. Charles parish for nearly 50 years. Jesse's love of teaching continued on through his tutoring of many young students at St. Charles School. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, September 10, at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville, with Rev. James Wyse as celebrant. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Jesse Fox's name to St. Charles Catholic School or Clay Street Center.
